MRV003: Role: Shop Assistant / Website Uploader
Level: Assistant (perfect for a Gap Year job)
Hours Weekly: Friday (09h30 – 17h00); Saturday (08h30 – 16h00); Sunday (09h30 – 15h00); Monday (09h30 – 17h00)
Where: Mr Vinyl store, 44 Stanley Avenue, Auckland Park, Johannesburg
To Start: Immediately, 3 month probation at full pay to test you out and to make sure you’re the right fit.
Description: Join the Mr Vinyl team and gain firsthand experience in eCommerce, retail and the music industry.
Besides general shop assistant duties, operating the till and assisting walk-in customers, your primary focus is on adding new listings (and editing existing listings) on our eCommerce website. You will be given weekly targets and you will need to work closely with our Grader and Pricer to ensure that listings are added with 100% accuracy to www.mrvinyl.co.za.
Requirements: All prospective candidates are required to have:
A valid matric certificateOwn transportOwn laptopA young, energetic, positive, hard-working attitude. Weekly targets mean that you will need to work hard, with hardly any downtimeExcellent communication skillsThe ability to focus for long periods of time on the same task, with keen attention to detailGood-to-excellent computer knowledge including skills in the Microsoft Office suite, Windows, and a general internet & social media knowledge – we’ll train you in the restGreat taste in music and an interest in and love for vinylStrong love for cats, dogs and other animals. You will be working in an environment that is occasionally interrupted by cats, dogs and other rescued animals in one way or another

MRV004: Role: Â Shop Assistant / Grader
Level:  Assistant (perfect for a Gap Year job)
Hours Weekly:Â 18 – 30 hours weekly, including at least one full weekend day

Where: Â Mr Vinyl store, 44 Stanley Avenue, Milpark, Johannesburg
To Start:Â Immediately, 3 month probation at full pay to test you out and to make sure you’re the right fit.
Description:  Join the Mr Vinyl team and gain firsthand experience in eCommerce, retail and the music industry.
Besides general shop assistant duties, operating the till and assisting walk-in customers, your primary focus is on grading pre-owned records and working closely with the Senior Grader to ensure 100% accuracy and adherence to our strict grading guidelines.
