Mr Vinyl is South Africa’s leading vinyl record store, established in 2013 and located at the beautiful 44 Stanley Centre in Johannesburg. We ship out hundreds of orders all over the world and this page will guide you through the process.
We have competitive shipping rates and we use Fedex, UPS and DHL for all international orders (orders outside of South Africa). We ship to almost all countries in the world, with a few exceptions being those that Fedex, UPS and DHL won’t ship to, here is a list. All orders are carefully packed in custom made boxes, with ample padding and protected corners for safe transit, and shipping takes 3 – 7 business days to most countries. All records are graded by a stricter version of the Goldmine Grading Standard and the grading definitions can be found here.
After you have selected the records that you would like to purchase, you will then click on the ‘Cart’ page and begin the checkout process. Depending on the country that you live in, you will be shown the price total in either ZAR (South African Rands), USD (United States Dollars), GBP (Great Britain Pounds) or EUR (Euros). There is a handy currency selector that you can use to change the currency when navigating the site, it looks like this:

When paying, you will have two options – Paypal or Payfast. For Paypal, we accept payment in USD, GBP or EUR. If you don’t have a Paypal account or if it isn’t available in your country, use the currency selector to change to ZAR (South African Rands) like this:

Payfast is South Africa’s leading eCommerce payment gateway, and you can by credit card when choosing this payment option.
The shipping cost for each order is determined by the region and weight, and is automatically calculated on the Checkout page. Try adding or removing records from your cart to see how changes to the shipping cost are calculated. Please note that depending on the rules and regulations in your country, you may be required to pay import duties or VAT when your order is delivered to you. Fedex, UPS or DHL will be in contact regarding this.
All shipping tracking details are attached to your order and you will receive an email with these details.
Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes, we can only deliver to a street address.
