Mr Vinyl hosts Will Linley for Signing Session & Release of ‘Don’t Cry It’s Over’
On 13 June, Mr Vinyl welcomed Will Linley to the shop for a signing session. Held in conjunction with Universal Music South Africa, the afternoon celebrated the physical release of his record, Don’t Cry Because It’s Over. The energy inside the store was great from start to finish, with photographer Jenna Stoch on hand to document the day.
The response from the community was strong, with a queue stretching out the door before the event even began. Will brought excellent energy to the room and spent three straight hours meeting fans and signing copies without taking a break. The demand was high enough that we completely sold out of stock on the day, with music lovers of all ages turning out to secure a copy of the baby pink vinyl.
Beyond the turnout, what stood out was Will’s professionalism. We received direct feedback from parents in attendance who noted he is a very good role model for younger music fans. He took the time to personally shake hands with parents, pose for photos, and treat everyone who walked through the door with kindness and respect.
The busy weekend didn’t end at the shop. The very next day, Will performed at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden alongside Matthew Mole. We want to extend a big thank you to Will Linley, the team at Universal Music, Jenna Stoch, and every single person who queued up to spend the afternoon with us.
